Re-purpose on Purpose

Have you ever found an object in a thrift store and repurposed it at something spectacular? Take a look at this old candy making table that now serves as a mobile kitchen island.

Have cracked or split concrete on your property? Repurpose it as pavers!

Here, plumbing pipe was used to create a garden fence.

It's amazing what one can do with a little imagination. Have you brilliantly repurposed anything lately?

Bedroom Reveal (Update)

After posting pictures of our bedroom, we received tons of sweet emails and comments from readers. Some of the comments made us laugh. Yes, those "before" photos were horrendous! Anyway, we wanted to update the post with daytime photos so that you can see the amazing natural light that floods the room. Take a peak.

And yes, there is almost always a kitty nestled somewhere in our bedroom.

So while we love the natural light that our two windows provide, there is absolutely no sleeping in at our house!

Red, Red and Red!

I love red, but I rarely decorate with it. However, after taking a peak at, my mind may be changed.

Take a look at this beautiful island in an otherwise neutral kitchen. It's the perfect amount of "pop".

The dining table in the picture below would be an easy project. A thrift store find could easily be turned into a punch of color.

I love our black and white bedroom, but there's something so beautiful about this red canopy.

Not ready to bring red indoors? Why not paint your backyard fence a beautiful shade of cherry red and call it a day?

Do you prefer more neutral tones in your home or do you love color?

Winter Whites

There is something so calming and beautiful about decorating with white.

The crisp, clean white in the bedroom below makes the space a soothing retreat. Nap, anyone?

By using white in this kitchen, the food and accessories in the room can shine.

White, with dark wood accents gives this farmhouse style home a modern feel.

White walls and a high, white ceiling makes this bedroom feel spacious and airy.

So, how about you? Are there white walls in your home? Or do you prefer some color?
