Guest Room Before and After

Our house needed A LOT of work when we first moved in. The whole place had been neglected and was crying for some love. Remember what our master bedroom looked like? Yeah, bad times.
Below are pictures of what our guest room looked like before we moved in.

Ick.

And now . . .

Now, we have a room that we LOVE! This room holds so many special mementos from the vacations that we have taken over the years.

Here, we have the armoire that I painted and distressed, (more about that another time).

While you can't really tell in these photos, the room has been painted a very light and airy shade of green.
This candle arrangement holds sand and shells that we have collected from our many snorkeling adventures in Hawaii.
And there ya have it! We have so many more room renovations to share with you. You'll never believe the lovely "artwork" that we found in one of our other bedrooms.

  4. What a transformation! Your new guest room is BEAUTIFUL - it belongs in a magazine! When Mommy and Daddy moved into our house there were fairy princesses on the wall in my room...

  11. I can't really tell the wall color from the pictures, but I'll take your word for it that it's a shade of green! I like that it isn't overpowering, though; we once painted a room green, with disastrous results!
