We Fondue. Do you?

Planning to spend Valentine's Day at home? Why not have some chocolate fondue?

Here's what you'll need:

16 ounces of dark, sweet or semi-sweet chocolate
1 1/2 cups of Light Cream
1 tsp.Vanilla Extract

Instructions:
1. Break chocolate squares into smaller pieces and drop them into the fondue pot.
2. Add the cream and stir gently but constantly until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Enjoy!

Be sure to prepare your fruit slices in advance. Sprinkle lemon juice over the apple, pear and banana slices so they won't go brown. We like to use angel food cake, marshmallows, strawberries and cookies.

Just typing this has made my mouth water! I'm off to make some fondue!

  2. That looks SO good! And it made me remember that we actually received a fondue pot at our wedding like 7 years ago and we've never used it. I may try this!!

BTW, one of my dearest friends is also named Jen Campbell!!

  6. Oh my goodness, am I glad I found you! :D I love strawberries and chocolate. It is just about my favorite dessert. I remember at my prom I was all over that section of the food table. It's a wonder I didn't get any of it on my dress! Haha. Thanks for sharing. I've been wanting to know how you make this. Have a happy Friday!

    Stopping by from SITS,

The fondue looks lovely and I have a fondue pot... haven't ever used it in the 13 years I have had it.
Guess no time like the present to try it out!
Chocolate covered pretzels sound like they could work... tonight might be a good time to try it out!
