One Lovely Blog Award

You like me! You really like me!

I was so honored to find out that Karen over at Strictly Simple Style had awarded me with the One Lovely Blog Award. (She's one of my faves!) Be sure to check out her awesome blog. I promise, you will be inspired!

The rules of the One Lovely Blog Award are:

Accept the award, post it on your blog, along with the name of the person who has granted the award, and his or her blog link. Pass the award to 15 other blogs that you’ve newly discovered. Be sure to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.

I'm always discovering new blogs that I love, but I'm going to cheat a little and share a shorter list. Here are my top 5 of the month, (other than Strictly Simple Style, of course).

1. The Queen of Re
2. The DIY Show Off
4. Centsational Girl
5. Seasons for All at Home

6. Houses, Couches and Babies

Stop by and show these blogs some love. I promise, you won't be disappointed!

Karen, thanks again. I'm honored!

Yep, Halloween is just around the corner. I'm busy working on my Halloween crafts, which I will be posting about soon. Until then, enjoy these pumpkins, courtesy of Martha Stewart.

A Room That Every Girl Needs

When we first moved to our new house, we had a bedroom that we were not sure what to do with. Well, we decided (okay, I decided and my husband agreed) that the bedroom should be my dressing room. I've been working on the room for weeks now, but I'm still not finished. Here are a few photos that have served as inspiration to me.

And these final photos are from my own dressing room. You'll notice my love for apothecary jars is shown here. On my dresser I have mini jars that I use to keep jewelry in. It's just a nice way to add some sparkle to the room.

The room is still a work in progress, but is 10 times better than the way it looked when we first moved in.

Apothecary Jars

I just love apothecary jars! We used them for a candy buffet at our wedding a few years ago and now we use them in our house to hold wine corks. They can be used to hold just about anything. Take a look below for some inspiration. The first picture is from our wedding.
