Last minute decorating on the cheap

If you're like me, you're always looking for new ways to decorate without spending too much money. Our style definitely is not over the top and we like to stick with cleaner lines and not too much fuss. That's why these simple decorations are perfect for us.

The only thing I needed to create this sparkly beauty was some branches from the yard and some spray paint. Yup, just a handful of birch branches and a can of silver spray paint. Then, I plopped them into my favorite vase and put them on my shelf.

And all I did here was put some pretty glass ornaments inside a vase that holds a candle. Simple. Cheap. Pretty.
What are your tricks for decorating on a dime?

  1. Visiting from Sits.Lovely ideas!I love thar ball!!
    Merry Xmas!

  2. Very cute ideas! I actually do something similar with ornaments in a tall glass vase. I also mix red ball ornaments with pine cones in another glass vase.

  3. I like to take pretty glass bowls that I already own and fill them with ornaments. Since Christmas decor is only going to be up for about a month, I don't like to go crazy and spend too much either.

I love the painted branches. I wish it wasn't so cold where I live so that I could steal your idea, but spray paint and cold weather just don't mix!
