Crafty Christmas Part 2 - Wreath Edition

Who's ready to make a wreath?
I make an ornament wreath every year.
Take a look, - I'll show you how.

Here's what you'll need:
A Styrofoam Wreath
A glue gun

Fishing wire (this one is optional).
Wire Edged Ribbon, (the dollar store has a ton). And of course, plastic ornaments (not pictured).

Begin gluing the ornaments on the Styrofoam. Leave the back of the wreath empty. (This part will sit against the wall or door when you hang it). Work your way all the way around the wreath, leaving a 2 inch section empty.
Tie your bow in the empty 2 inch section, using the wire edged ribbon. Once the ribbon is tied around the wreath, fill in the empty space with ornaments. I use the fishing wire to hang the wreath on a hook. This part is easy, - just tie it right around the wreath, wiggling it between the ornaments. and leave a little loop at the top to hang it on a hook. Use a ribbon or string if your prefer.
Ta Da!!

This wreath hangs on our master bathroom door.
What can I say? We decorate the WHOLE house!

  2. Hi, I'm stopping by from SITS! I wanted to share a bit of comment love. ♥

I saw some of these ornament wreaths last year and really liked them. However, the ones I saw the directions for were made by string the ornaments on a wire coat hanger - SUPER EASY! I was just telling my husband last weekend that I wanted to try to make one this year. I saw one on TV the other day that had just silver ornaments, some shiny and some matte. It was really pretty! Well, thanks for sharing these directions. I'll have to decide which one I think will be the easiest for us to do.

I hope your Friday is absolutely amazing!

  6. Thanks for all the love! I typically use 60 - 80 ornaments per wreath. So, stock up on those dollar store ornaments!
